Hello, this is Jayjun Plastic Surgery in Korea.
At Jayjun Plastic Surgery, we not only serve domestic patients but also receive numerous international patients.
Today, we are excited to introduce a patient from Jakarta, Indonesia, and their experience with Korean plastic surgery.
This patient has been studying in Korea for six years to learn Korean.
While living in Korea, they learned about the renowned Korean plastic surgery clinics and chose Jayjun Plastic Surgery for their rhinoplasty.
Honestly, my low nose has always been a complex, and I wanted to get it corrected through rhinoplasty.
Since the nose is at the center of the
face, I thought it was an essential feature and decided to go for Korean
plastic surgery.
While the skin tones of Korea and Southeast Asia may seem similar, the facial structures of each country are slightly different.
From a Korean plastic surgery expert's
perspective, surgeries must be designed according to each country's unique
facial structure.
Jayjun Plastic Surgery welcomes patients
from various countries, including China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and many
others.
The Indonesian patient we are introducing
today exhibits typical features of a Southeast Asian nose.
Q. What are the features of a Southeast Asian nose?
This patient has a low nasal bridge, wide
nostrils, and a bulbous nose tip, which are common features of Southeast Asian
noses.
In such cases, Korean plastic surgery can deliver dramatic improvements through rhinoplasty.
Looking at the patient’s CT scan, we can
see a slight hump on the nasal bridge.
**Hump Removal and Tip Reshaping
Plan**
In Korean plastic surgery, we use CT scans to plan the size of implants and which cartilage to use for rhinoplasty.
Since the patient has a small septal cartilage, we will use donated rib cartilage to support and shape the nose tip.
For this rhinoplasty, we plan to use a
silicone implant to create a smooth transition from the bridge to the nose
tip.
Before surgery, a CT scan allows for a professional surgical plan in Korean plastic surgery.
Typically, the surgery takes about an hour, and international patients visit Korea for about 7 to 10 days.
The process, including the initial
consultation, surgery, swelling management, and suture removal, takes
approximately 6 to 7 days.
**Post-Rhinoplasty Recovery Process**
After returning to their home country,
patients stay in touch with Korean plastic surgery clinics through monthly
updates for three months.
The Indonesian patient introduced today
shared their excitement for the transformation after the surgery.
