Midlife Facelift [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Real Story]

 Midlife Facelift

[Jayjun Plastic Surgery Real Story]

Hello!

Today, following the previous post, we are sharing the real story of a midlife woman who underwent treatment at Jayjun Plastic Surgery.

This story might be very helpful for many who are considering plastic surgery. This story particularly follows a midlife woman’s journey from her facelift consultation to surgery as she aimed to regain confidence while re-entering the workforce.

1. The reason for deciding on plastic surgery!

This midlife patient is a mother of two daughters who lost confidence due to naturally developed wrinkles and facial sagging with age. She mentioned that her biggest concerns were the nasolabial folds and sagging around her eyes.

As she re-entered the workforce, deepening wrinkles and sagging made her wonder, “Am I really getting older?”

While wrinkles are a natural sign of aging, she decided on plastic surgery at our clinic to regain her lost confidence.

2. Consultation process

Before the surgery, a detailed consultation was conducted with Dr. Giwan Kim, who is skilled in midlife facelifts. The patient shared various concerns, such as sagging cheeks, nasolabial folds, drooping eyelids, and a narrow forehead. Dr. Kim from Jayjun Plastic Surgery explained kindly and emphasized that since her skin is in good condition, it may be more prone to wrinkles.

Ultimately, he recommended a “brow and forehead lift,” “facelift,” and “neck lift” to improve the overall sagging and wrinkles on her face.

3. Surgery plan

After the consultation, a specific surgery plan was devised to address the patient’s concerns.  The surgery was divided into three main parts.

Brow and forehead lift (Net lifting)

This is a procedure that lifts the entire forehead to reduce wrinkles around the eyes and forehead.

Facelift :

A surgery that lifts sagging parts of the face around the cheeks and jawline to create a youthful and firm facial contour.

Neck lift : A procedure that tightens the sagging skin and muscles around the neck, refining the jawline and neck contour.

These surgeries can effectively address the wrinkles and sagging caused by aging, along with an overall facial lift.

4. Surgery day process

On the day of the surgery, the patient first washed her face, had medical photos taken, and then the design process began. She appeared very nervous at that time, but the warm words from the doctor and staff seemed to ease her tension little by little.  During the design process, they planned to maximize the effect of the brow and forehead lift while minimizing incision areas. Detailed explanations were also provided regarding the incision areas and lifting techniques for the facelift and neck lift.

5. Anesthesia consultation

A consultation on general anesthesia was conducted before the surgery. Anesthesiologist Dr. Gyun Shin thoroughly checked the patient’s health status and explained that the surgery would proceed under general anesthesia.

She was concerned due to a past experience of elevated liver levels, but tests showed her current levels were normal, concluding that there were no major issues with anesthesia. The patient’s plastic surgery consisted of a brow and forehead lift, facelift, and neck lift, and she is expected to regain her confidence post-surgery. Every step, from the consultation process to the surgery plan and anesthesia consultation, was carried out systematically.

Ultimately, she underwent surgery, expecting a significant change, and will regain a youthful and vibrant look through a full facial lift.

Plastic surgery is not just about changing appearance; it can be a significant help in regaining self-confidence and maintaining a lively social life. If you also have concerns, consult with medical professionals for thorough advice!
