Refresh the Upper Face with Endotine Forehead Lift!

Refresh the Upper Face with Endotine Forehead Lift!

Aging is a natural physical change that comes with getting older. However, as life expectancy increases and social activity ages rise, the middle-aged are also meticulously managing themselves to create a youthful image.

In particular, the forehead and eyes are areas where age is immediately visible, and as skin elasticity decreases and sagging begins, one may appear older than their actual age. Also, since these are the areas where eyes first land, the more severe the sagging, the greater the impact on one's appearance complex.

These days, many people undergo mini-forehead lifts to create a smooth forehead and balanced eyes. However, there are various methods of lifting surgery, and the results vary depending on how the skin is fixed, making the choice of procedure crucial.

What is the difference between full incision and endoscopic methods?

The most common lifting surgery from past to present is the full incision method.  This involves making a long incision inside the hairline, pulling up the skin, and excising the remaining tissue before suturing. It has the advantage of lifting the eye area, glabella, and forehead wrinkles all at once, but leaves a long scar, which is a major drawback.  The endoscopic method complements these drawbacks.

Endoscopic forehead lift involves an incision within 2cm inside the scalp, allowing instruments to enter through the small space to dissect and lift the tissue, resulting in less scarring. Additionally, the smaller incision area allows for quicker healing, making it more preferred by working professionals who find it hard to take time off.

Lifting varies depending on the fixation method.

There are two fixation methods for forehead lift surgery. One method involves using thread to tie and pull the periosteum, fascia, and muscles together as a whole.  However, due to the high burden of tying multiple tissues and the limitations in lifting, many people nowadays opt for Endotine. Endotine uses bioabsorbable implants to pull and fix sagging skin tissues. It has five pointed parts and is fixed by inserting them in a triangular shape under the skin. Over time, it gradually absorbs, causing no foreign body sensation and exerting low tension on the pulled tissues, thus reducing the physical burden.

It demonstrates particularly strong fixation, making it possible to create a youthful face even with severe sagging of the forehead and eyes, leading to high satisfaction.

Who is suitable for Endotine application?

Our forehead lift using absorbable implant fixation helps efficiently improve deep and thick wrinkles between the forehead and glabella. It is also suitable when one eyebrow is drooping, making the eyes appear asymmetrical, or when severe eyelid sagging makes upper blepharoplasty difficult.

Especially if the eyes have become significantly smaller due to overall skin elasticity decline, lifting with a forehead lift rather than double eyelid surgery or upper blepharoplasty can help improve the impression.

Effective lifting is possible,

Using Endotine absorbable implants instead of skin incisions during forehead lift surgery is effective for improving forehead and glabellar wrinkles, drooping eyebrows, and eyelids. Screw fixation and sutures are also options, but they have the downside of weaker fixation and potential loosening.

On the other hand, Endotine increases overall skin fixation, evenly distributing the pulling force and preventing a fierce look. Thus, if upper face improvement is needed, it is better to consider the implant method first over full incision or thread lifting.

Delicate dissection is also an important part.

Even with Endotine forehead lift, endoscopic equipment is used for skin incision and tissue dissection, making the skill of the medical staff important. Being able to precisely and widely dissect through a small incision allows the overall tightening of the upper face skin.

Since the skill and expertise of the medical team greatly influence the procedure, if you are planning an improvement, start with a one-on-one consultation at Jayjun.

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A]

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A] Today, we have compiled clear answers from a Jayjun Plastic Surgery specialist in Korea to frequently asked questions by patients who are considering rhinoplasty.  Please note that surgical methods and outcomes may vary depending on the individual, so use this information as a general guide. Q1. Can the nasal tip be raised and improved naturally using only septal cartilage? Yes, it can be possible, although it depends on individual conditions. In the past, surgeries were done using only septal cartilage, and even now, if the conditions allow, natural and sophisticated results can be achieved with septal cartilage alone. However, if the nose is very small or upturned (short nose), cartilage alone may not provide enough support, so a stronger structure is needed to fix the tip. In such cases, rib cartilage (autologous or donated) may be used. In principle, if there are no major nasal issue...
