Laser Skin Whitening Treatment in Korea ( JAYJUN Dermatology )

Laser Skin Whitening Treatment in Korea

( JAYJUN Dermatology )

As there are many people who want to improve pigmentation disorders such as blemishes, spots, freckles, and pigmentation caused by acne more quickly and effectively, we are constantly receiving inquiries about skin whitening treatments at our dermatology clinic.

Whitening lasers that whiten the skin, or lasers known as pigmentation lasers, are not of one kind but are very diverse. Such skin whitening treatments should be applied differently according to each individual's symptoms and skin type to enhance the effect. Therefore, in this post, I would like to introduce four types of skin whitening treatments that can provide faster and more effective whitening care tailored to each individual's symptoms.

1. Eclipse I2PL  laser

Eclipse I2PL is a laser procedure that can significantly improve skin tone with just a single treatment. By irradiating a complex light of a wide wavelength range, it not only improves pigmentation, but also elasticity and vascular lesions, allowing for a significant brightening of dull skin tones with just one treatment. It is particularly effective for those with many freckles, and it is better to have the procedure done on the entire face rather than in a localized area. The concept of IPL is like a filtering process that lightly and broadly sifts through various elements of the skin with just about one treatment.

Usually, one session is performed, and if additional treatments are performed, they are usually spaced 3-4 weeks apart. While it has the advantage of targeting various factors, the effect on each target is not as strong as with other treatments.

2. Helios 3 toning laser

Helios 3 toning is a treatment most commonly used for pigmentation, mainly to gently treat pigmented lesions deep in the dermis of the skin, such as freckles and oval-shaped spots. minimizes the impact on surrounding normal tissues and cells other than melanin, making treatment safe with almost no side effects such as burns, inflammation, or worsening of pigmentation caused by the laser. Also, by switching to Nd:YAG laser mode, you can effectively remove blemishes and freckles in the superficial layer of the skin.

This laser toning is usually performed on the entire face in about 10 sessions at intervals of 1-2 weeks.

3. Clarity laser

The Clarity laser procedure uses two wavelengths to treat superficial epidermal pigmented lesions such as freckles and ephelides, as well as non-pigmented vascular lesions. It can induce skin regeneration, resulting in skin lifting and wrinkle improvement, and has various effects depending on the user's discretion. While the dull appearance of our skin can be partially due to melanin, strictly speaking, there are also people whose skin appears dark red due to the capillaries in the skin. For these people, it's effective to improve dull skin by not only undergoing pigmentation treatment but also laser procedures targeting blood vessels. In other words, for people whose skin appears dull due not only to melanin but also to the capillaries in the skin, it's beneficial to undergo Clarity or DDR laser procedures that can target blood vessels along with laser toning treatments.

This Clarity treatment can be applied to the entire face, and it's preferable to undergo the procedure in about 5 sessions at 1-2 week intervals.

4. CO2 laser

Lastly, it's good to physically burn and shave off thick epidermal pigmented lesions such as spots, black fungus, skin tags, warts, corns, various scars, and skin tumors using a CO2 laser. This laser procedure can be performed efficiently by irradiating high-energy output onto the skin in a short period of time, minimizing thermal damage to skin tissues and preventing tissue carbonization.

Usually, it can be removed immediately with one procedure, but some deep and thick lesions may require several additional procedures. Since wounds can temporarily occur for about a week after the procedure, post-treatment wound care should be particularly careful.

So far, we've looked at four quick and effective whitening treatments for those of you who are worried about a dull skin tone. You should know that these skin whitening treatments can maximize the effect of brightening a dull skin tone by combining more than two dermatological procedures rather than a single treatment. However, toning isn't the answer for all pigments. There are various types of pigment lesions, and the treatment methods vary accordingly. Therefore, it's essential to have sufficient consultations with experienced dermatologists to receive appropriate solutions and rejuvenate into bright and clean skin.

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A]

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A] Today, we have compiled clear answers from a Jayjun Plastic Surgery specialist in Korea to frequently asked questions by patients who are considering rhinoplasty.  Please note that surgical methods and outcomes may vary depending on the individual, so use this information as a general guide. Q1. Can the nasal tip be raised and improved naturally using only septal cartilage? Yes, it can be possible, although it depends on individual conditions. In the past, surgeries were done using only septal cartilage, and even now, if the conditions allow, natural and sophisticated results can be achieved with septal cartilage alone. However, if the nose is very small or upturned (short nose), cartilage alone may not provide enough support, so a stronger structure is needed to fix the tip. In such cases, rib cartilage (autologous or donated) may be used. In principle, if there are no major nasal issue...
