1. Double eyelid revision surgery female CASE 1

In the case of this woman, she had done an non-incision double eyelid surgery five years ago, but over time, she got some asymmetry on the eyelids and wanted her double eyelid to look higher than it is now, so she did a non-incisional revision surgery this time. We removed the thread used in the previous surgery and made a pair of double eyelid again with non-incision method. As the patient said that it would be great if she can have lateral epicanthoplasty and lower epicanthoplasty together, so in this case, epicanthoplasty and lower epicanthoplasty are performed together. 

For the right side, it is a in-outline, and for the left side, it should look like an inline, but if we want to make the left side to be a inline completely, it could be possible if we do epicanthoplasty. However, as the patient did not want to have surgeries like epicanthoplasty, we did a surgery to make the height of the line as similar as that of the right side. 

2. Double eyelid revision surgery female CASE 2

In the case of this woman, she had done a non-incision double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty 8 years ago, and did a non-incision double eyelid again 5 years ago as the double eyelids got loosened. She visited our hospital as the double eyelids got loosened again. In general, if the double eyelid surgery is done in non-incision way, the eyelids can get loosened. If your eyelid skin is a little bit thick, your eye-opening strength is a little bit weak, you have a lot of skin sagging, or your double eyelids were made too low or too high, the possibility for your eyelids to get loosened is higher. 

Therefore, if you have done non-incision double eyelid surgery for 1-2 times and the eyelids got loosened every time, even if we do non-incision surgery again, the possibility for the eyelids to maintain and not to get loosened is small, so in such situation, it is better to have surgery using incision method in general. Fortunately, the patient was not reluctant to incision, so in this case, revision surgery wad done in an incision way. 

In our hospital, in order to prevent the double eyelids from loosening, surgery is performed after medical team with rich anatomical knowledge about the eye and extensive experience made accurate diagnosis. If the patients want the line too low or too high, we will compromise with them and adjust the line, or if their skin

sags too much, we will cut off the skin a little. In addition, if the soft tissue of the skin is too thick or hard, we will remove some

of the soft tissue after doing incision, or we are also working hard in fixing the line more firmly in order to prevent the line from

loosening. 

3. Double eyelid revision surgery male CASE 1

In the case of this man, he had done an incisional ptosis correction 8 years ago and had fat removal at the same time. Over time, some of the lines got loosened and some of them became double folds, forming a pair of higher double eyelids, so he wanted to solve this problem.

So in this case, in our hospital, instead of the ordinary incision line, we grab a pair of new inner double eyelids in the bottom, untie all the ordinary scars, and reposition some of the fats remaining in the inner side, to prevent multiple folds from forming again.

For most of the people, if the double eyelid line is a bit high, the movement of the muscles that open the eyes when we open our eyes will be slightly restricted, so the eye-opening strength can look a bit weak. His line is a bit too high or a bit thick, but only by lowering the line a little bit, it was effective that he felt more comfortable when opening the eyes and the eyes became larger. 

4. Double eyelid revision surgery male CASE 2

This man was very satisfied after having surgery at our hospital. He did an incisional ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty at another hospital about 1 years ago, but he said that the double eyelids were too obvious, ptosis correction seems not to be well done, and the difference between the left and right side was too large, so he visited our hospital. 

So I told the patient to wait for a while to do the surgery because I thought the existing scar would not be completely solved if the revision surgery was performed again immediately. At the time when the existing scar has matured and softened enough, I did a new incision at the bottom and the loosed the existing line. As incision was done in the previous surgery, there were not many extra skins, so in this case, surgery so called “grabbing two lines” was done.
