About the surgery methods that can raise the eye-tail

About the surgery methods that can raise the eye-tail

If the eye-tail is droopy, a bad image which looks depressed or older than the actual age can be given very often. In addition, the areas of the eye that being covered by the eyelids become more, which makes the eyes look short and stuffy. If the eyes that have largely affect and determine our first impression looks depressed and old, people often have complex because of that, so many people want to improve that and make themselves look younger. Therefore, in this post, I will introduce 3 main methods that can raise the droopy eye-tail.

1. Double eyelid surgery

For methods that can raise the eye-tail, first of all, there is double eyelid surgery. In general, many people think that double eyelid surgery is just a surgery to make a double eyelid line, but it is also possible to raise the drooping eye-tail through making a eyelid line. If your eye-opening strength is weak, it will be good for you to have a ptosis correction. However, if that is not your situation and it is just your eyelid skin is stretched, you can improve it by choosing the method that removes unnecessary fat and muscles and lifts the droopy eye-tail.

2. Eyebrow forehead lift

If the degree of the drooping of the eyelids is more serious, it is difficult to raise the drooping eye-tail only by doing double eyelid surgery. At this time, you can raise the eye-tail through eyebrow lift or forehead lift. For eyebrow lift, incision is done under the eyebrow or on the boundary above, then, after removing the stretched skins and muscles, the muscle that is responsible to open the eyes is being pulled and being fixed to the periosteum. By pulling up the dropping eyelids, the droopy eyes can be improved and the eye-tail can be raised at the same time, so that the impression can change into a vivid impression. Since this is not a surgery that disturbs the eyes directly, the swelling after surgery is small and patients are possible to return to daily life quickly.

In the other hand, for the forehead lift, it is being done by doing a minimal incision which is about 1-2cm inside the scalp on the upper part of the hair line. In forehead lift, endoscope is being used to observe the inside of the skin, and instead of simply pulling the sagging forehead, the muscles and the structures that make the forehead and the eyebrows sag can be removed in detail. Through this, not only is the eye-tail being raised, the aging symptoms happened on the upper face can be solved all at once.

3. Eye lateral epicanthoplasty

Even if the drooping eye-tails look the same, the aforementioned double eyelid surgery and eyebrow forehead lift is an effective way to improve the problem if the skin sags due to aging or congenital reasons. However, if the axis of the inner corners and tails of the eyes itself is sagging, the problem can be improved through lateral epicanthoplasty. As the position of the eye-tail itself is drooping downward, if we fix the eye-tail at a higher position of the strong periosteum, the droopy eye-tail can be raised. At this time, the important point is that we must completely remove the structure that can provoke adhesion so as to reduce the risk of re-adhesion.

So far, I have introduced the surgical methods that can raise the eye-tail. For people whose eyes keep having tears running out and fester due to the inflammation caused by sagging eye-tail, people who look stuffy as the vision is being blocked by the drooping eye-tail, or people who look depressed or much older than their actual age due to the sagging eye-tail, if they do the surgery, they can expect significant effects.

However, if you are just considering to change your image in order to improve the problem of you looking depressed or old, doing double eyelid surgery, eyebrow forehead lift or lateral epicanthoplasty blindly is not an appropriate way. It is because you need to check your eye condition carefully to see whether is it the end point of the eye-tail is sagging, or is it the upper eyelid sags due to aging and is covering the eye-tail, and choose the surgical method that is suitable for your situation so that you can get closer to your desired needs. If a surgery that does not suitable to you is done while the overall balance of the face or the thickness and the fats of the eyes are not being considered, the level of satisfaction can drop significantly. In addition, as eye tissues are very fragile compared to other areas, you are recommended to have sufficient consultation with medical team that have extensive experience so that the surgery can be done in a way that match the overall balance of your face. Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A]

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A] Today, we have compiled clear answers from a Jayjun Plastic Surgery specialist in Korea to frequently asked questions by patients who are considering rhinoplasty.  Please note that surgical methods and outcomes may vary depending on the individual, so use this information as a general guide. Q1. Can the nasal tip be raised and improved naturally using only septal cartilage? Yes, it can be possible, although it depends on individual conditions. In the past, surgeries were done using only septal cartilage, and even now, if the conditions allow, natural and sophisticated results can be achieved with septal cartilage alone. However, if the nose is very small or upturned (short nose), cartilage alone may not provide enough support, so a stronger structure is needed to fix the tip. In such cases, rib cartilage (autologous or donated) may be used. In principle, if there are no major nasal issue...
