Eye Revision Surgery Korea - no more reoperation!

Eye Revision Surgery Korea - no more reoperation!

Recently, pursuing the eye lines that is natural and do not look like artificial becomes a trendy beauty standard. In response to this trend, there are many people having double eyelid surgery. Unfortunately, the reality is that our clinic has been non-stop receiving inquiries about Eye Revision Surgery. Although many people want to change their general image of their face naturally through double eyelid surgery, more and more people are worrying that they may encounter some realistic problems like after they did the surgery, the width of the double eyelid is too wide, their double eyelids of the two sides are asymmetric, the swelling on the double eyelids continues and does not go down, making their eyes look like a sausage, or their double eyelid lines get loosened after the surgery. I think that is more and more people decide to have the surgery without carefully examine it as they think that double eyelid surgery is a simple and easy surgery that are frequently done on the people from 10s to 50s,

If you're planning to have a Eye Revision Surgery, you need to consider several factors before you get a double eyelid surgery. Firstly, the important point is about whether it is a time possible for you to have reoperation. In other words, we can say that the timing to have double eyelid reoperation is an important factor. In general, double eyelid reoperation is usually performed at least 6 months after the last surgery, but in special cases like when severe inflammation happens on the area underwent surgery, it is recommended to have the operation after the wound is healed and the swelling is completely reduced. The reason is that we need to minimize the damage to the tissues. Therefore, even if a you have to live an somehow embarrassing daily life, you should not have Eye Revision Surgery in a hurry.

For example, in the case when buried double eyelid surgery was done, reoperation should be done about 1 month after the surgery, and in the case when incisional double eyelid surgery was done, it is better to decide having reoperation about 6 months after the last surgery. For buried double eyelid surgery, for the swelling that happens after the surgery to go down, it takes about 3 days to 7 day, but for the wound to heal properly and for the shape to get settled, it takes about a month. If you’ e decided to have reoperation, it is better for you to have it after the wound has healed, and it is better for you to wait for about 1 month after the surgery.

On the other hand, in the case of incisional double eyelid surgery, as the eyelid skin is incised to remove an appropriate amount of sagging skin, fat, and muscles, it takes more time for the wound to heal. In general, the recovery period of incisional double eyelid surgery for the wound to heal takes about 1-2months. Moreover, in the case when reoperation is needed after incisional double eyelid surgery, you should wait for at least 2 months, and if possible, 6 months, so that it will not go wrong.

However, for both the buried and incisional double eyelid surgery, there are cases in which reoperation can be done immediately, depending on the condition of the eyelids. Therefore, it is necessary for you to have sufficient consultation with medical team with enough know-how about the suitable timing for having reoperation before you decide to do the reoperation.

To achieve this, the most important thing is to accurately identify the cause of failure of the previous surgery during doing the reoperation, and find the most suitable surgical method for each type. This is because we need to consider the damage of the tissue and fix the problem caused in the 1st surgery. For example, sausage-liked eyes are caused by overlooking the position and the ratio of the line, so we need to reduce the size and remove the scar or extra fat tissues under the line, so as to fix the degree of eye opening into the extent in which the eye can be opened naturally. In addition, for the case in which the double eyelids of the two sides are asymmetric, we need to make a new line above the standard eyelid line in order to correct it, or correct it after cutting the skin, so that one side or the both sides can be fixed and matched, and a satisfying result can be obtained.

As mentioned earlier, if you are stressed about your appearance due to poor results after a double eyelid surgery, you will be struggling in deciding whether to have a double eyelid reoperation or not. For most of the people who plan to have double eyelid reoperation, they tend to find cheap place due to the cost burden. However, if you take the cost as the major factor when choosing a hospital, if something goes wrong, the balance if your face may be broken, or you will need to face reoperation again. In order to avoid this, rather than being attracted by the low cost when deciding plastic surgery clinic, it is more important for you to have sufficient communication with medical team which has extensive experience and which can meet your need.
