Precautions after rhinoplasty : Check out at Jayjun!

Appearance is considered a specification, so in the modern world, more and more people think that having a good appearance is a kind of competitiveness. Therefore, more and more people undergo plastic surgery. Especially because blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty are considered relatively simple operations, many people undergo them. However, because people think they are simple and easy surgeries, side effects are often caused by neglect of postoperative management. In order to improve inferiority complex and appearance, many people choose to have plastic surgery. However, due to improper postoperative management, there are many cases of reoperation. Therefore, Jayjun will tell people who plan to undergo rhinoplasty or who have already undergone rhinoplasty the precautions after rhinoplasty.

👉Precautions after rhinoplasty

Since the nose swells more on the second to third days after the operation than on the day of the operation, you should keep your head up for 48 hours, lie down properly and apply cold compresses around the eyes and nostrils while avoiding the bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose. It is recommended to apply cold compresses 3 to 4 days after surgery and hot compresses 5 to 7 days after surgery.

After the operation, do not remove the splint taping or the cotton in the nose without the guidance of the medical staff. In the case of ear cartilage transplantation, the cotton fixed on the back of the ear can be removed on the 1st to 2nd day after the operation, and the thread can be removed on the 7th to 10th day after the operation. However, since the inside of the nose uses the melt thread, there is no need to remove it.

It is best not to blow your nose for about 2 weeks after rhinoplasty. If part of the nasal bone is cut, please be careful not to blow your nose forcefully within 2 to 3 months.

After removing the thread, light cleansing and makeup can be done, but it is best to avoid actions that cause nose discomfort such as wearing glasses within a month.

It is recommended to use the bathhouse and sauna at least 3 weeks later. In particular, smoking and smoking should be avoided for 4 weeks, because they can cause inflammation and slow down recovery.

Walking slowly for about 20 to 30 minutes a day also helps to get rid of bruises and swelling quickly. However, it is recommended not to do it when it is too hot or too cold. Also, because bruises may get worse, it is recommended to avoid strong sunlight.

Since the nose is mostly stable within two months after rhinoplasty, special care must be taken to avoid external irritation.

The swelling and bruising gradually subsided within 1 to 2 weeks after rhinoplasty,.

The recovery period may vary from person to person, but you can assume that it will take about 2-3 months to see the satisfactory results.

Medicines prescribed after rhinoplasty should be taken regularly in accordance with the instructions of medical staff. In addition, the nose may bleed 1-2 days after the operation. It is recommended not to swallow saliva, but to wipe it.

Since the satisfaction of rhinoplasty depends on its coordination with the original face, rather than the shape of the nose itself, the patient's nose condition, the type of implant and the patient's preferences must be fully considered. In addition, you must consult a plastic surgeon who has extensive rhinoplasty experience before deciding on surgery to obtain satisfactory results.

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A]

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A] Today, we have compiled clear answers from a Jayjun Plastic Surgery specialist in Korea to frequently asked questions by patients who are considering rhinoplasty.  Please note that surgical methods and outcomes may vary depending on the individual, so use this information as a general guide. Q1. Can the nasal tip be raised and improved naturally using only septal cartilage? Yes, it can be possible, although it depends on individual conditions. In the past, surgeries were done using only septal cartilage, and even now, if the conditions allow, natural and sophisticated results can be achieved with septal cartilage alone. However, if the nose is very small or upturned (short nose), cartilage alone may not provide enough support, so a stronger structure is needed to fix the tip. In such cases, rib cartilage (autologous or donated) may be used. In principle, if there are no major nasal issue...
