Comparing the Effects of Rejuran vs. Juvelook

You've probably heard many times that skin care should start at a young age.  Especially in today's world, where environmental pollution and stress greatly impact the skin, consistent care has become even more important.  However, when you visit a dermatology clinic, it can be quite challenging to decide which treatment to choose.

"Ultherapy? Thermage? Lifting? Fillers? Botox?"

With so many treatments available and different recommendations from experts, it's not an easy decision. It's crucial to know what suits your skin and which treatment can best deliver the results you desire.

Today, I will introduce two treatments commonly performed at Korean dermatology clinics that provide "noticeable changes to your skin": Rejuran and Juvelook.

These two treatments are particularly effective at making the skin healthy and smooth, earning them widespread popularity.

1. Rejuran

Let’s first talk about Rejuran. Rejuran is an injectable treatment containing polynucleotide (PN), a substance that promotes skin regeneration. This ingredient aids in DNA synthesis in the skin and offers anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effects.

It is particularly recommended for those with dry skin and fine wrinkles. It's also suitable for those who often experience a tight feeling beneath their shiny skin. Rejuran improves the skin's moisture-oil balance, soothes sensitive skin, and strengthens the skin barrier.

2. Juvelook

Juvelook is a treatment made with poly-L-lactic acid (PDLLA), a biocompatible material. This ingredient stimulates the dermis layer of the skin to promote collagen production, significantly improving skin elasticity and slowing aging.

It is particularly effective for those experiencing reduced skin elasticity, deep wrinkles, or concerns about acne scars and depressed scars. Juvelook works deep within the skin, filling scar areas and making the skin smoother.

Rejuran vs. Juvelook: What’s the Difference?

Both treatments are injection-based and help maintain healthy skin.  However, they differ in their target audience and effects.

Rejuran focuses on hydrating the skin, improving fine wrinkles, and soothing dry or sensitive skin.

Juvelook promotes collagen production, enhances skin elasticity, and effectively reduces deep wrinkles and scars.

In simple terms, Rejuran focuses on hydration and skin regeneration, while Juvelook emphasizes elasticity and collagen production.

How to Maximize the Effects of the Treatments

To fully benefit from Rejuran and Juvelook, it is crucial to administer them to the appropriate areas, in sufficient amounts, and at regular intervals.

Rejuran : Injecting 2–4cc per session at 2–4-week intervals for about three sessions is effective.

Juvelook : Injecting 3–4cc per session at 4-week intervals for three or more sessions is recommended.

Consistent care and proper intervals give the skin time to regenerate and become healthier.

Post-Treatment Care and Maintenance

Both treatments involve injections, so mild redness or bruising may appear at the treatment site.  However, these usually subside within 1–2 weeks, and makeup is typically allowed starting the day after the procedure. The results generally last around six months, though this may vary between individuals.

Depending on skin condition and lifestyle habits, the effects may last longer, so regular maintenance is recommended.

Achieving Synergy Through Combined Therapies

While Rejuran and Juvelook are effective on their own, combining them with other treatments can create even greater synergy.

For example:

👉 If skin elasticity is a concern: Juvelook + elasticity laser

👉 If there are depressed scars: Juvelook + scar laser

👉 If hydration is lacking: Rejuran + hydration treatment

Combined therapies should be tailored to your skin concerns, so it’s essential to consult a specialist to determine the best approach. Rejuran and Juvelook are each effective at making the skin hydrated and smooth.  However, for any treatment, it’s vital to understand your skin condition and goals accurately and choose the right procedure in consultation with a specialist.

Don’t hesitate any longer!

Achieve healthy and radiant skin through consistent care.

It’s never too late to start taking care of your skin.

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A]

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A] Today, we have compiled clear answers from a Jayjun Plastic Surgery specialist in Korea to frequently asked questions by patients who are considering rhinoplasty.  Please note that surgical methods and outcomes may vary depending on the individual, so use this information as a general guide. Q1. Can the nasal tip be raised and improved naturally using only septal cartilage? Yes, it can be possible, although it depends on individual conditions. In the past, surgeries were done using only septal cartilage, and even now, if the conditions allow, natural and sophisticated results can be achieved with septal cartilage alone. However, if the nose is very small or upturned (short nose), cartilage alone may not provide enough support, so a stronger structure is needed to fix the tip. In such cases, rib cartilage (autologous or donated) may be used. In principle, if there are no major nasal issue...
