Facial Aging Concerns!!
From Consultation to Surgery at Jayjun Plastic Surgery!

Today, we would like to introduce a case where a mother and daughter received consultation and underwent surgery together at Jayjun Plastic Surgery. We will focus on the process of addressing the daughter's under-eye sagging and wrinkles, as well as forehead and eyebrow sagging issues.

The patient's (daughter's) concerns about cosmetic surgery

The patient (daughter) felt fatigue and frustration due to under-eye wrinkles and forehead sagging and sought consultation with the desire to return to her youthful and beautiful appearance.  She frequently looked at old photos of her younger and prettier self on her phone, which deepened her concerns about her current appearance. She particularly noticed signs of aging in various areas, including crow's feet, forehead wrinkles (earthworm wrinkles), sagging eyelids, nasolabial folds, and a double chin.

First consultation : Resolving drooping eyes through a forehead lift

Through consultation with Dr. Kiwan Kim, the first solution proposed was a 'forehead lift.'

The patient's skin sagged due to aging, causing her eyelids to droop and obstruct her vision, leading to a feeling of discomfort.

However, since she naturally had double eyelids, a forehead lift that elevated the brow area was deemed more effective than double eyelid surgery. This procedure makes the eyes appear brighter and more refreshed.

The reason for choosing a forehead lift instead of double eyelid surgery!

It was explained that undergoing double eyelid surgery could result in thick eyelids, so lifting only the sagging skin while maintaining her natural double eyelids was a better option. Initially, the results may feel somewhat unnatural, but over time they gradually settle into a more natural appearance. This also helped to ease concerns about the immediate postoperative appearance.

Under-eye hollowness and wrinkles : Under-eye fat repositioning and fat grafting!

Next, consultation continued with Dr. Hyungju Kang.

The patient was concerned about under-eye hollowness and wrinkles, as well as bulging cheeks and nasolabial folds that appeared when she smiled. Her biggest concern was the tired look caused by under-eye hollowness, and Dr. Kang suggested 'under-eye fat repositioning' and 'fat grafting' as solutions.

By filling the hollow areas and smoothing out uneven parts, the patient was able to regain a naturally youthful appearance.

Cheek fat and nasolabial folds : Liposuction and Pinholxell laser!

For prominent cheek fat and nasolabial folds, 'liposuction' and the 'Pinholxell laser' were recommended. Liposuction reduces cheek fat, while the Pinholxell laser improves skin elasticity to address the nasolabial folds. The goal was to create a naturally defined facial contour.

Fat harvesting and the effects of under-eye fat repositioning

The fat needed for under-eye fat repositioning is taken in small amounts from the abdomen. The fat is harvested from the area below the navel with a syringe and then grafted into the hollow under-eye areas. The effects of under-eye fat repositioning last about 5 to 10 years, greatly contributing to a youthful appearance after surgery.

This patient underwent a forehead lift (Net lifting), under-eye fat repositioning + fat grafting, liposuction, and Pinholxell laser following the consultations. At Jayjun Plastic Surgery, consultations and surgeries are tailored to each patient's concerns and facial conditions, offering personalized cosmetic solutions.

Just like in this case, those concerned with regaining their natural youthfulness can find the most suitable solutions through consultation with specialists. For more information on this, you can visit the official Jayjun Plastic Surgery website or YouTube channel.

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A]

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting a Nose Job in Korea [Jayjun Plastic Surgery Q&A] Today, we have compiled clear answers from a Jayjun Plastic Surgery specialist in Korea to frequently asked questions by patients who are considering rhinoplasty.  Please note that surgical methods and outcomes may vary depending on the individual, so use this information as a general guide. Q1. Can the nasal tip be raised and improved naturally using only septal cartilage? Yes, it can be possible, although it depends on individual conditions. In the past, surgeries were done using only septal cartilage, and even now, if the conditions allow, natural and sophisticated results can be achieved with septal cartilage alone. However, if the nose is very small or upturned (short nose), cartilage alone may not provide enough support, so a stronger structure is needed to fix the tip. In such cases, rib cartilage (autologous or donated) may be used. In principle, if there are no major nasal issue...
